About us

Our New Range -  We have designed our new collection for those brides who want to look a little different from the rest. New techniques and alternative styles give the range a fresh and a little unusual appeal while maintaining classic elegant lines. You can order our styles as they are or mix and match our collection to create your perfect look. We still, of course, specialise in our Made to Measure line where we can design anything you can dream of. Additionally, we offer a service where your gown can be made to various fitting stages, ensuring the perfect fit and no need for alterations. We are also happy to alter your pre purchased gown for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ‘made to measure’ mean?

Made to measure refers to all the little things that make your dress perfectly yours. The individual cutting, sewing and fitting of a garment, even those individual details you’ve asked for. Each fitting with us will involve adjusting your dress to your individual body length and width, as we carefully create your dream dress in your exact size and shape.

The process starts with a design session and then fittings are organised according to the complexity of the dress and date of the function.

Do you do wedding suits for women?

Yes! We tailor stunning women's suits for bridal, business and special occasion wear.

How long does it take to produce a custom made garment?

Creating your dream dress will take around three months, and in some cases be done quicker if necessary. But organising your fitting dates and fabrics beforehand is essential. We recommend setting up your order 6 to 9 months ahead of your event.

What price range can I expect?

For wedding gowns we do both classic dressmaking and couture styling, with a custom made dress ranging anywhere between $1000 and $10,000.

For special occasion wear our prices begin at $350 for making only and $475 if we include fabric. A simple garment will likely cost around $550 to $850 including the fabric. For more elaborate couture garments expect your design to cost between $750 to $1500. For custom tailored Suits our making price begins at $550.

What fabrics are available?

So you can envision your design perfectly we provide samples of all our bridal fabrics and laces as well as some plain coloured fabrics. We have a range of fabrics to suit all price points and tastes. We also carry an exclusive range of fabrics from England, divine suiting and beautiful woven fabrics.

What styles do you offer?

Whatever you’ve envisioned as your dream dress, we can bring it to life. All we need to start with is a sketch of your ideas and from there, we develop and cut a pattern. This means, there is really no limit to what we can create for you.

What speciality sizes do you cater for?

No matter your size or shape, we can cater to your needs. We are skilled in plus size, large busts, short and tall statures, pregnancies, petite and have made beautiful creations for sizes from 4 to 32.

Can you make matching ties / bowties for the bridal party?

Yes! We can offer a tie/bow tie making service with pocket squares that will bring cohesion to your entire bridal party.

Can you alter bought gowns?

Absolutely. If you have a previously bought gown we are able to alter it to your specifications; from simple hems and take ins through to dramatic changes in size and design of a gown. We can also add any beading and lace work you desire, as well as make overskirts and veils to match.

Can you replicate gowns?

While we are able to make anything, we don’t like to copy a designer gown exactly, but instead use them as influence and inspiration. We are firm believers that if you are going to the effort to have a gown specially made then it should reflect your personality and be an individual piece.

How do I pay for my gown, do you do deposits or layby?

Once the style, design and cost of the gown has been agreed upon we take a 50% deposit. We then set up the fittings and order in the materials we need to begin your gown. Some clients like to pay as they go but most pay the remaining balance at the end.
